The library will be closed Thursday, November 22 for Thanksgiving.

Community Knits Donations

Locally, there is a current need for warm clothing items, specifically adult hats, mittens and twin-bed-size blankets. 

Purchased items and/or handmade items are being collected at the library.

Many hands make light work and together we can make a difference. For the past three years our library patrons have been very generous with their time and talent, so let's do it again!

Use your knitting skills to warm community members who could use something special. Your donations will be distributed by the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital to the residents of 1 South.

Any favorite pattern will do, but if you are looking for ideas here are simple patterns, perfect for beginners:
