Summer Reading, Week III

Keep cool in the library! Play along with our interactive, community board and mark the places you have "been" while reading.

This week's events:

• Tuesday, July 19 - Craft-N-Snack, 2:30-4:00 PM (open house style - parents, please stay)

• Wednesday, July 20 - PJ Storytime, 7:00-7:30 PM 

                                          Knot Only Knitters, 6:30-8:30 PM  All are welcome.

• Thursday, July 21 - FREE ZUMBA for adults, 10:30-11:30 AM  Please sign up in advance.

• Friday, July 22 - Teen Movie Day: Karate Kid (pg), 2:30-4:00 PM

• Monday, July 11 - Stamping & Card Making for adults, 6:30 PM (class is currently full)
   
• Tuesday, July 12 - Craft-N-Snack, 2:30-4:00 PM (open house style)
   
• Wednesday, July 13 - PJ Storytime, 7:00-7:30 PM
   
• Friday, July 15 - Lego Day, 2:30-4:00 PM

Start counting the books you are reading - reporting starts July 5! Receive a reading log and stickers when you visit the library.

Weekly prize drawings begin this Friday. Enter to win with each visit (all ages).

Sign Up For Summer Reading 2011

One World, Many Stories

Sign ups will continue through July 1. 

Children will receive a bag with goodies and have their picture taken for our display of summer readers in the library.

This summer Marion Elementary students with library cards may use our  public access computers to take AR tests for school and will receive a treat for each test taken.

Summer Reading Programs

Now that Memorial Day has come and gone, summer is within reach!

Sign ups for our annual summer reading programs will be June 22-July 1. We have lots of fun activities planned for all ages, with prize drawings each week. Each child who signs up will receive a goody bag and have their picture taken for display.

Young readers will be encouraged to explore places all over the world, from Australia to Zimbabwe, in the books and stories recommended for this group.

Summer reading... not just for kids! Stay tuned for programs for adults and visit the library to enter weekly prize drawings. Participate in our adult program, Novel Destinations, and travel around the world by reading novels that take place in foreign lands.
