Memorial Day

In observance of Memorial Day the Marion public Library will be closed on Saturday, May 24 and Monday, May 26, 2008.

This Memorial Day weekend, please spend some time remembering, honoring and paying tribute in your own way to those whose sacrifices and dedication have made the holiday barbecues and the family gatherings that we'll all enjoy this weekend possible. Without them, our world would be a very different place.

Our Newest Patron

Little Alexandra came into our library today bursting at seams with excitement to get her very own library card. Her enthusiasm was contagious! Welcome, Alexandra!I wished I had my camera, but I made do with my cell phone (technology!).

Also, a last minute reminder:

The Marion Library Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 7:00 PM.
As always the community is welcome to attend. Remember we meet the third Tuesday of each month.

Small Hands, Big Hearts

We’d like to thank Brownie Girl Scout Troop #541 and their adult helpers for their excellent job of weeding, donating and planting flowers at the library.

These spunky gals met Saturday morning, working enthusiastically and diligently until the landscape was transformed into beds of beauty!
Brownie Troop #154 with leader - Jenn Bonafede, co-leader - Carol McManus, adult helpers: Kim Williams, Nancy Brown and Doreen

Their efforts are greatly appreciated and our community will certainly enjoy the fruits of their labor all summer. Thanks again, girls!
