Access to Materials

The Marion Public Library strives to provide the community with materials containing wide-ranging subject matter and expressing diverse viewpoints. Some of this material may not be suitable for children or teens. Parents differ in when they allow their children access to these adult-themed materials. Since parents are the best judge of what is appropriate for each individual child the Marion Public Library allows anyone, regardless of age, to checkout any items in the library. Parents have the responsibility to assure that the items their children obtain at the library comply with their personal views of age appropriateness.
